spanish books?

this semester i am taking a book arts class. and i LOVE it.
even though i now have about 8 blank books, the class is so much fun and i'm always amazed when i look at a book and say, hey...i made that! here is just one of my books, my favorite kind so far.
{this is a cord bound--hence the cords that you can see through the leather}
.
we also have learned how to make boxes, just basic ones for now. but we will learn how to make clamshell boxes, which are boxes made specifically for a certain book. sooo fun!
.
.
.
add this to my list of places i will see in my lifetime. i'm in humanities of islam this semester and i am doing a presentation on moorish spain and i love it. this is part of the al-hambra palace in granada spain and it's absolutely amazing!
like beyond amazing gorgeous and incredible. i haven't been to spain but i will go someday. they are going here on the humanities tour for the school this year and i am very jealous.
.
.
.
gotta love some ribbed vaulting--thank you moorish spain
the fact that they were able to build something like this during the 700s still amazes me. this is part of the mosque of cordoba. i will also be going here someday...soon hopefully. this too...
