crazy-town...

life as been busy lately. but busy would lots of really fun things. so i can't really complain. 

indeed there has been much hiking, rock climbing, driving, playing, eating and so on and so forth. and summer hasn't even started yet. 

june is still a few weeks away, but i am already anticipating the crazy exhaustion i'm going to feel after being gone every single weekend of the month. and probably the last weekend of may, and the first of july.

one month from today i will be on my way to WA! i am so excited i can hardly stand it. this girl who was born and raised in WA and lived no where else until she left for college, has not been back to WA in almost 2 years. TWO YEARS! that is a terribly long time. i miss WA. i can't wait to see lots of old friends in the tri cities that i haven't seen in even longer {it's been over 3 years since i've been back to richland}, to see my mountain, to hang out at home with my parents, to play in seattle, to run a half marathon with my bestie lindsay and catch up with my second family, but mostly to show matt my favorite state! {i'm uber excited that he gets to come to WA for part of the time. he's never been before. it's going to be great!}

a couple of weekends ago a group of my friends drove down to moab. holy moly people. have you ever been to moab? it's gorgeous! i couldn't get over how stinkin beautiful it is down there. for someone who grew up in green western wa, i didn't know i had this deep rooted love for everything red rock! we camped for 3 nights and hiked negro bill canyon {the entire hike is beautiful btw...and i mean really beautiful} and delicate arch. holy wind. and if you don't like heights, watch out on that one. i didn't realize that it totally drops off behind the arch. it's pretty spectacular though. we had a lot of fun and i was so incredibly gritty and dirty when we got back. 3 days without a shower will do that!

also...my name is in a book. i got to see it for the first time last wednesday when matt & i went to see the spring salon at the springville museum of art. back in ye olden times when i was an intern there, i helped with some research type stuff for the book they were writing about the museum. so there you have it, my name is in there as a thank you. springville museum of art...you are welcome. i think it's pretty exciting.
