it's been a long time. thanksgiving is in 20 days. i'm now 27 {yikes} and winter is rapidly approaching. yes...we already had a couple of snow falls last week.
i find myself still in the mindset that it's the end of summer, but have to remind myself that no, it's november now. summer is long gone. with said mindset, i am still acting like a bum {how i do during the summer, playing and not having any pressing things i need to take care of}.
since june, i've been meaning to revamp my resume and apply for different jobs, primarily jobs out in the DC area. i know i know, it's expensive to live out there and that's so far away and on and on, also some people think i'm crazy. BUT, i don't care. this girl is getting to the end of her utah road. it's be real and great and really great, but i'm ready for a change. and not just a move to a new apartment {which i've already done} but a big change to a new place and new things.
so maybe if i put this up here, that i am going to get my bum into gear and actually re-do my resume and start applying for jobs, i'll actually do it!

how was everyone's halloween? and october for that matter? good?...good. i had my first ever surprise birthday party {that sounds like i'm 8}, but it was awesome, even though i managed to kind of ruin it. i got there an hour later after basically being told, we're having a party for you, get over here. but it's the thought that counts right? how was i supposed to know that it wasn't a dessert night like i'd been told. my bad.

for the fall/winter season, i'm trying to be more cultural or do things i normally wouldn't. since i can't go out and go swimming everyday anymore, i need something to take up some time and provide me with fun things to do...enter concerts, operas, plays and more...
in sept i went and saw arsenic and old lace at the hale center theater in orem. SO funny...seriously. they do a fantastic job. i also did the dirty dash...hilarious and tiring. but how often do you get to run 3 1/2 miles through pits of mud? not often enough i'll tell you. mid october some friends and i went to the opera, verdi's il travatore {my first ever opera...i loved it}. last weekend danielle, racy and i went to a free concert up on temple square, a night in vienna. it was the music of Haydn, Mozart, & Strauss. though we left after Haydn and Mozart...i had a seriously crippling headache.
still on the cultural itinerary is seeing "holiday" at byu in a few weeks, going to the christmas devotional {more spiritual than cultural}, hopefully seeing a christmas carol at the hale as well, and byu's production of phantom of the opera in january!
i have photos...lots of them, they're all on my phone. in a perfect world i will download them to my computer and post them for all of your enjoyment. we will see...
here's one though...happy birthday to me last wednesday!
