yes, while garlic can be quite terrifying {especially to all those vampires out there}, this is not the phobia i have.
as i was walking to the stairwell from the parking garage tonight with my groceries, i glanced to my right where one of those industrial 5-gallon buckets was sitting. piled on top of said bucket was a pile of screws. my mind didn't see screws, but immediately saw a GIANT spider. groceries in hand...along with phone, keys, water bottle, and book...and a gallon of milk, i basically freaked out, jumping back from the bucket, tennis shoes squeaking on the ground.
then i realized it was just some screws. all's good.

in other good news, my 22 month old nephew said 'penis' tonight. one of the 3 words in his vocabulary. making progress people!
