last night at almost 11pm, i decided to finish watching beaches {fyi, one of my all time faves and i was in need of a good cry}. so i'm curled up on the couch under my blanket, with all the lights out besides the string of christmas lights we have on a fake tree in our living room. i see the shadow moving around from those lights and look up to see if i'm imagining it, or if it's something. welllll, i look for a minute and come to the quick conclusion that yes...that is the shadow of a spider, wandering about our christmas lights. i about had an aneurysm! {yes in reality the spider probably wasn't THAT big, but when it's on a little light the shadow is magnified...a lot!}
i hate spiders. more than i hate onions...that's saying something. my family has countless stories they could probably tell you about my freak-outs when it comes to spiders.
so while i finished my movie, i kept an eye out for the tree and anything else that might be wanding around in it. in all honestly, i just want to chuck it out the door, lights and all...but i wouldn't be able to get close enough to it to pick it up. let's be honest.

in other news, i'm going to moab this weekend. i'm pretty excited. i've never been before and have been wanting to go since moving to utah. pluuuus it's supposed to be almost 80* down there. hello sunshine...and campfires, and camping, and roasted peeps!
it's going to be glorious!
