my saturday off from work was spent up in salt lake at a wedding convention with my friend danielle and her roommate deena who just got engaged. i thought we were going to help her look at stuff/moral support etc. but her fiance came, so they took their time looking at stuff and danielle and i wandered around testing the goodies and pretending we had fake fiances.
let me tell you, it was a pretty good time!
we had hors d'ouvers: seafood sliders, bacon wrapped scallops, fancy mac-n-cheese, grilled veggies, etc.
they had a dessert bar too with truffles, triffle {a layer of lady fingers, a layer of jam, and a layer of beef sauteed with peas and carrots--it tastes like a foot!}, macaroons, and eclairs! the dessert i thought were much more delicious than the food.

we had a good time at our fake reception, thinking of our fake fiances, followed by us watching the joseph smith movie {it was at the JS memorial building} which i bawled my eyes out from start to end! ugh...but it was good.
