on time flying by without realizing that it's suddenly almost spring...

wow, almost 4 months have gone by. that was quick. i feel like it was  just christmas. even my birthday. and that's almost half a year ago. almost on the downhill towards turning 31. yikes. that's another post for another day though.

life is good. it's plugging along in a fairly normal, uneventful, blissful way.
with the warming weather {what i thought was warming weather until it snowed yesterday. it was 70* on sunday!} i'm thinking of all the big plans i have for my garden! big plans that is...not big garden. i'm definitely limited on space, but i have more space than i did when i lived in an apartment. so. i'm thinking baby steps.
i plan on ripping the dead plants out of one of the beds and planting me some herbs {rosemary, basil, cilantro} and lots of lettuce! the other bed at the back of the yard i plan to plant A zucchini plant, only one because they take over everything, a few tomato plants, and maybe a couple pepper plants. i'm becoming an official by learning to like peppers and i'd say it's going pretty well. i'm proud of myself.

a few things we've been up to:

{work retreat of the best variety}
chocolate! v chocolates to be exact. that is what's up. if you're in salt lake city, i HIGHLY recommend you go and do the tour. if you don't go into a sugar coma from the heavenly smell alone, you surely will after trying samples! hands down the best toffee known to man. and the caramel? and the toffee popcorn? and the chocolate? it's all amazing. and so so good. and delicious.
go. no. call. tours are free. even better.
 {that on the left? a table full of caramel. yum. and a salted caramel dipped in chocolate.}
.
{city center temple tour for staff meeting- clearly my job is difficult ;) }
the provo city center temple was just dedicated last sunday! it's gorgeous. and beautiful. and amazing. and i'll be working there again! my first shift is tomorrow. wish me luck because i haven't been a worker for 3 years, i'll be rusty.
.
 first camping trip of the year happened a couple weekends ago. we went with our trusty friends aaron and kara. it was fun. and so pretty! why isn't capitol reef more popular? it as amazing. we hiked through cohab canyon and it was so fun. the weather couldn't have been better either. thank goodness for some warmth and sunshine.
 {taking some detours into some narrow slots in cohab canyon}

 we had a girl's weekend last weekend and we stayed in my house {how exciting that i have one of those now}. it was fun. we got our toes did, went to lunch, did a bit of shopping, cooked dinner, they crafted while i worked on a book i was binding, and ended the night eating ice cream and watching movies. my SIL steph came into town too, which was so great! we played away sunday afternoon with twister, scrabble, and me laying on the floor while my niece played with my hair. i sure love all these amazing girls in my life!
 {post temple dedication photo}
{we got to meet cute Reem for the first time. she's an exchange student from egypt staying with my bro and SIL. here they are playing twister. my niece told me not to take a picture ;)}

 in other news, i got called to be the 2nd counselor in my relief society presidency! i actually got called as a teacher first. then they called me in the next week and said never mind, we want you in the presidency :) so here i am. still not really sure how to do this thing sometimes because i've never had a relief society calling, but it's good. i'm getting to know more people and more people are definitely getting to know me!
